Accuturn Two-Post Lift After years of “I don’t trust anything that high,” I bought one. That was seven years ago. My productivity shot through the roof. During simple services (oil change, state inspections), I look at the entire underside of the vehicle, and sell tons of extra, honestly needed work. All these years later I still marvel at how easy “work” is when it’s on the lift.
Sunnen High Lift Transmission Jack with Gas Tank Adaptor With the lift, this thing makes transmission, clutch and differential work way easier than sliding around on a creeper. Add the gas tank adaptor, and fuel tank services become a breeze, even when they’re full.
Snap-on Cordless Impact Running around a car pulling wheels for state inspection, or other services, used to mean dragging and tripping over an air hose. Another time saver, that also makes a safer work area.
OTC Genisys It’s more like a partner. It shows me what I need to see to diagnose and repair onboard control systems. I can look at data, graph it, get sensor specs and get lots of information from the onboard system. It isn’t dedicated to one manufacturer, but does pretty good at covering all makes.
Identifix OK, it isn’t a tool, or is it? Bring me a problem, I go to Identifix to see what others have done to fix it, or get a direction for solving it. It cuts diagnostic chasing when others have seen, and fixed, that problem. I get a lot of information off of specifications, especially now when no two cars use the same anything.
