Rollin Hansen Named 2009 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/ASE Technician of the Year

As the winner of the 2009 TECH-NET/ASE Technician of the Year, Hansen will receive more than $20,000 worth of prizes.

Rollin Hansen of Auto Tech and Body in Roselle, IL, has been named the TECH-NET Professional Auto Service/ASE Master Automotive Technician of the Year for 2009. He was selected for the award after meeting the criteria set by CARQUEST.

“Being ASE certified, gives me a huge sense of pride,” said Hansen, an ASE Master Technician with 35 years of experience.  “I enjoy being a technician because of the repeated short term gratification of solving problems. With all the new systems and models coming out every year, each and every vehicle is a fun, new, learning experience. When traveling, and facing the unlikely event of mechanical breakdown, my comfort level goes way up when I see the “ASE Certified” sign on the front of the repair shop I am going to.”

Hansen is employed by Auto Tech and Body which is a member of TECH-NET Professional Auto Service, an elite performance network, where independent service facilities share common goals of being world-class automotive service centers. Membership in TECH-NET is reserved only for the best professional independent automotive service facilities across North America that adhere to the strictest standards set forth by CARQUEST.

“Rollin Hansen and the professionals at Auto Tech and Body share a dedication to the industry and community that make them ideal members of TECH-NET,” said Mike DeSorbo, vice president marketing for CARQUEST. “Adding Rollin’s name to the list of TECH-NET/ASE Technician of the Year winners only confirms how far one must strive in automotive service excellence to become a winner of this award.”

As the winner of the 2009 TECH-NET/ASE Technician of the Year, Hansen will receive more than $20,000 worth of prizes. He will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the ASE Board meeting where he will be presented with a trophy and gold ring. Hansen will also receive more than $10,000 in tools and equipment from CARQUEST. In addition, he will be honored as the co-Grand Marshal of the 2010 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Charlotte, NC.
