NACAT Education Foundation New Automotive Teacher Award (Deadline: May 1): Presented annually to support attendance at a NACAT Conference in the U.S. or Canada for a New Automotive Teacher (within the first five years of teaching), the award provides NACAT Conference registration fees, a 1-year NACAT membership, and $1000 toward travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred in attendance.
NACAT Education Foundation Automotive Trainer Award (Deadline: May 1): Sponsored in 2012 by AESWave, this new award provides TWO $500 scholarships to assist with NACAT Conference attendance for Automotive Trainers who exhibit financial need.
Gates Corporation NACAT Conference Attendance Award (Deadline: May 1): Open to all automotive educators, and funded by Gates Corporation, the award provides a winner and runner-up with a 1-year NACAT membership and funding support to attend the NACAT National Conference so that those who might not normally attend have the opportunity to increase their knowledge, proficiency and professionalism through conference attendance. The winner receives $1,500 while the runner-up receives $1,000.
Delmar-Cengage Jack Erjavec Innovative Instructor Award (Deadline: April 1): The Jack Erjavec Innovative Instructor Scholarship will be awarded to the instructor who demonstrates the most innovative and effective use of technology in the classroom. Sponsored by Delmar, the award provides a 1-year NACAT membership and $2,500 funding to allow the recipient to attend the summer NACAT conference and other training events. The top four runners-up will also receive a complimentary NACAT membership.
Mitchell1 Automotive Technology Outstanding Student Scholarship (Deadline: May 15): This annual scholarship is offered through the NACAT Education Foundation and recognizes one high school senior for outstanding achievement in automotive technology/auto shop repair scholastics. The winning student receives a $2,500 scholarship, a check for $500 and roundtrip airfare and accommodations for the winner and a guest to attend the NACAT conference.
