GearWrench, a premier hand tool brand from Danaher Tool Group, recently announced its sponsorship of Speed TV’s Chop Cut Rebuild, the popular reality series that chronicles the restoration and customization of classic automobiles. During Chop Cut Rebuild’s fifth season, experts and volunteers will rebuild a 1970 Plymouth Cuda and the world’s first crate-built 1953 Chevy pick-up truck.

As the official hand tool sponsor, GearWrench will provide tools to be used during the projects. The Chevy pick-up truck will be built by a team of volunteers at Classic Industries and the Cuda relic will be restored by veteran builders at PG Custom Cars in Huntington Beach, CA.

“Chop Cut Rebuild has a loyal audience of technicians and self-proclaimed gear heads that wants to witness the extreme build projects that Dan Woods and his team deliver each season on Speed TV,” said Marc Mangus, senior brand manager for GearWrench. “We are proud to align GearWrench with an organization known for such a high degree of ingenuity and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our hand tool line.”

“We’re very excited about having a brand of high quality hand tools with such a diverse selection on set this year,” said Dan Woods, executive producer of Chop Cut Rebuild. “Every technician knows having the right tool for the job is essential to delivering the best work possible. GearWrench has delivered with great products and a selection of tools to do the job right every time.”

GearWrench tools are recognized throughout the automotive industry for improving productivity, increasing torque, eliminating excess bulk, and working efficiently within tight spaces. The new season of Chop Cut Rebuild premiers in the summer of 2008 on Speed TV. For local listings please visit www.speedtv.com.
