ASA To Host Training In Orlando For Service Repair Professionals

Screen Shot 2016-01-13 at 8.25.34 AMThe Automotive Service Association has announced a series of regional training programs for technicians, service writers, managers and shop owners. The first event will take place February 26 – 27, 2016 in Orlando, Florida, at the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel with the support of ASA Florida. These events will take place on Friday and Saturday, bringing service repair training to the technicians and service writers on Saturday and a full day management session dedicated to shop owners and managers on Friday.

The management and service writer training is AMI approved course content.

Topics for technicians include:
• 21st Century Cooling System Design
• Practical Electrical Testing
• Preparing to Service Connected Car Technology
• Brake Technology

Topics for service writers include:
• Lip Service (AMI approved)
• Winning Women Customers (AMI approved)

A special owner/manager session will be presented by Bob Greenwood, entitled Profitability Secrets that Dramatically Build Your Bottom Line (AMI approved).

“We recognize the need and demand for high quality technical and management training at a local level. Our goal is to bring training to those markets where there is a pent up demand and areas where ASA state affiliates want a program to support their members,” stated Dan Risley, ASA president. “ASA Regional Events will have at least 5 programs in 2016. In addition to Orlando, they will take place in Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas (co-located with AAPEX, partnering with ASA), and Los Angeles. The programs will take place on Fridays (management training) and Saturdays (technical and service writer training), keeping shop downtime to a minimum while providing the most valuable and requested training for the region.”

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) works closely with shop owners and has served them for many years through association membership, member services, NACE | CARS conference & expo, and more. Now ASA is reaching even deeper in the market to serve tomorrow’s leaders: managers, service writers and technicians through regional training and educational programs.
