Winner Announced for Raybestos ’32 Roadster Matco Tool Chest

Dean Trost of McVille, ND, was the lucky winner of the Hollywood Hot Rods "Signature Edition" Matco tool chest ... the first prize in the technician-specific component of the Raybestos '32 Roadster Pickup Sweepstakes promotion.

Dean Trost of McVille, ND, was the lucky winner of the Hollywood Hot Rods "Signature Edition" Matco tool chest … the first prize in the technician-specific component of the Raybestos ’32 Roadster Pickup Sweepstakes promotion.

Trost was randomly chosen from a national pool of professional technicians who entered the 2010 sweepstakes by purchasing a Raybestos ’32 Roadster Pickup Sweepstakes promotional kit. In addition to their entry ticket, technicians also received: an oversized, limited edition ’32 Roadster Pickup tin tacker sign, retro banner, promotional poster, promotional countercard, five hot rod t-shirts and two sets of brake pads.

“It doesn’t happen very often that a big national brand makes its way to McVille,” said Trost. “Winning this tool chest was a real surprise.” The lucky winner, who has owned and operated D&M Service since 1966, said he plans to utilize the new tool chest at his second shop located nearby.

Steve Toftely, District Manager for Raybestos brand brake and chassis, a member of the Affinia family of brands, presented the custom tool chest to Trost at his shop in front of several friends and family members. Longtime colleagues John Haley, Greg Monson and Wayne Bjerke of Berg Auto Supply in Fargo, ND, were also there for the presentation.

The tool chest, officially entitled “Respect Tradition,” was customized by Matco with licensed imagery from Hollywood Hot Rods. It has a suggested retail value of $5,700.

The Raybestos brand consistently offers sweepstakes and promotions that capture industry-wide attention, increase sales and celebrate its racing heritage. In 2011, DIYers, hot-rodders, mechanics and race fans have the chance to win other custom prizes during upcoming Raybestos brand sweepstakes and promotions. The highlight of this year’s sweepstakes promotion is the Raybestos GTO-R.
