The 9th annual Independent Repair Shop Summit (IRSS) took place on October 2-3 in Minden, NV.

Hosted by Ramac Industries, a leading importer and distributor of OEM parts for BMW, MINI, SAAB and Volvo automobiles, the IRSS is the 2nd largest technician and shop management training event on the West Coast.

The training was highlighted by the introduction of Autologic’s new MINI training series and the hands on demonstration by Euro-Diagnostic of ISTA for BMW automobiles. During the weekend, seven classrooms were used to provide more than 60 hours of technical and shop management training.

New this year is the availability of post seminar podcasts to seminar attendees. Now shop owners can review the sessions from their shops and allow their technicians to absorb the materials at their own pace.

The IRSS was sponsored by leading automotive industry companies including: AKEBONO, AutoLogic, ATE, Baum Tools, BEHR, BOGE, CONTITECH, Bosch Diagnostics, Euro-Diagnostic, ExtremeWrench, FAG, FREMAX, HELLA, HEPU, INA, JURID, LUK, LEMFORDER, MAHLE, MANN FILTER, MEYLE, NGK, NTK, NORDIC, PAGID, PEIRBURG, PENTOSIN, Ramac Industries, REIN, Robert Bosch, SACHS, TEXTAR, TOTAL OIL, URO, VDO, WAHLER and ZF Industries.
