CARQUEST Auto Parts and Lowe’s Motor Speedway have extended their sponsorship agreement for the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series event through 2010. CARQUEST will also remain "The Official Auto Parts Store of Lowe’s Motor Speedway."

"CARQUEST stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico are proud to continue our partnership with Lowe’s Motor Speedway through 2010," said CARQUEST Senior Vice President of Marketing Ray Birden. "Bruton Smith and ‘Humpy’ Wheeler have built Lowe’s Motor Speedway into one of the premier racing facilities in the world and it is exciting for CARQUEST to sponsor this race for our customers and NASCAR fans across North America."

CARQUEST and Lowe’s Motor Speedway have enjoyed a long history that began with the inaugural running of the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on May 24, 1997. The 10-year run of this event makes it one of the longest continuously sponsored races on the NASCAR Busch Series schedule.

"Continuity in race sponsorship is extremely important because it builds brand awareness among the fans," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe’s Motor Speedway. "Because of CARQUEST’s continued support, the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 is one of the most recognized events on the NASCAR Busch Series schedule."
