With BWD Automotive’s new oxygen sensors, you’ll find premium quality and innovative technology in each box. BWD differentiates itself from the competition by delivering the performance and confidence demanded by today’s aftermarket technicians, backed up by truly global coverage.

BWD’s oxygen sensors feature connectors that are keyed to match OE to prevent misapplication. The wire lengths are within 20% of the OE length so no wire ties are needed. The wire coating is made from Teflon to provide heat resistance to 500° F and is rated to 1000 volt specifications. The wire sleeve is designed to keep wires together to protect against abrasion. A breathable Teflon membrane improves breathability for the reference air, while a porous membrane ensures accurate output.

The new oxygen sensors also include a ceramic thimble made from high strength ceramic material to withstand any thermal shock. A platinum coating is used to create the positive and negative electrodes and the physical vapor deposition (PVD) is consistent with the OE process. A spinal protective coating protects the electrodes from the exhaust stream, while a dual internal seal closes off the reference side from the exhaust.

In addition, OE-style shields protect the elements from thermal shock. The hex shell nut is set back for improved accessibility, and for easier installation and removal. The flange is welded when the application calls for it, while the one-piece body includes a single laser weld which reduces leak potential.

Finally, thermal conditioning burns off any contaminants on elements, minimizes infant failure and ensures long life. BWD Automotive tests the functions of the heaters, the isolation resistance and all internal components, insuring a high quality product.

BWD Automotive always gives you the confidence that it’s the perfect part, the perfect fit and the perfect performance every time.
