Clevite Engine Parts recently awarded four product sponsorships for the 2007 NHRA season at the conclusion of the Auto Club of Southern California NHRA Finals in Pomona, CA.
The points winners of the NHRA 2006 Top Fuel and Funny Car Series Tony Schumacher, driver of the Army Top Fuel dragster, and John Force, pilot of the Castrol GTX funny car automatically drove off with product sponsorships.
Additionally, Clevite Engine Parts conducts a drawing for full product sponsorships for all Nitro Club members finishing in the Top 16 in points. One sponsorship goes to a top fuel car, the other to a funny car. The winners of the drawing were Cory McClenathan, driver of the Fram Boost top fuel dragster and Scott Kalitta, driver of the Technicoat funny car.
In addition to receiving Clevite 77 bearings and Perfect Circle piston rings, the winning teams also receive engineering support from Clevite Engine Parts. In turn, the four winning teams provide marketing support to Clevite.
In 2007, Clevite will once again provide year-end product sponsorships to four teams selected by a drawing held at the 2007 Auto Club finals in Pomona. Additionally, Clevite will award mid-season support in 2007 to four teams with the most points scored over the summer’s toughest four races Norwalk, Denver, Seattle and Sonoma. The tricky combination of heat, humidity and altitude make these races especially tough and very competitive for the drivers and teams.
