ASC Industries Inc. Creates New GAAS Scholarship Fund on Behalf of its Customers

On behalf of ASC Industries, Inc.’s “Customers Who Care,” ASC recently pledged a donation to the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium Scholarship Fund to aid students in pursuing their careers in the automotive aftermarket.

“This is the time of year when many suppliers send traditional holiday gifts to their customers as a token of their appreciation,” stated Ted Swaldo, president and CEO. “In light of the growing need for skilled technicians and talented employees in the automotive aftermarket, we have chosen what we feel is a more meaningful way to show our gratitude. In short, ASC’s “Customers Who Care” will make a difference in someone’s life, not to mention the industry’s future.”

Since the GAAS Scholarship program’s inception 10 years ago, more than 1,150 students have received financial aid. Through this scholarship program, ASC’s customers join other industry partners in providing more than $1.1 million in assistance to students to assist in establishing their automotive aftermarket career as a technician, marketer, engineer, sales representative or other applicable position.

“After discovering the full impact of the GAAS Scholarship program and how it helps so many in the industry, the choice was simple,” added Jeff Sandt, VP of sales and marketing for ASC. “It is our hope that other aftermarket companies follow our lead to help secure the industry’s future on their customers’ behalf as well.”
