Goodyear Gemini and NASCAR Performance have assumed a leadership position to help promote the newly-released and first-of-its-kind Car Care Guide while celebrating National Car Care Month at the same time.
During the month of April (or while supplies last), all consumers who visit a participating Goodyear Gemini Automotive Care provider and purchase a Spring Car Care Package will receive the 56-page Car Care Guide for free. The guide has a $10 retail value and more than 200,000 will be distributed in all.
The Car Care Guide was created by the Car Care Council as the next step in the ongoing “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign. The guide provides easy to understand information on vehicle maintenance. Specifically, it covers nine major service occasions and 12 component groups of the vehicle, plus service interval recommendations.
Former NASCAR Champion Rusty Wallace, the host of NASCAR Angels, will promote National Car Care Month and the Car Care Guide offer in every episode throughout April. NASCAR Angels is a new TV show featuring stories of deserving people who need car care help that is available in 95% of the country via local broadcast stations and the WGN Superstation cable network.
“The NASCAR Angels TV show provides Goodyear Gemini and NASCAR Performance a perfect platform to promote the industry’s new Car Care Guide and its connection to April being National Car Care month,” said Odis Lloyd, NASCAR’s managing director of automotive licensing. “Rusty Wallace will do a great job of promoting the guide in the show throughout April while continuing to educate our viewers that it is important to maintain your car.”
“For Goodyear Gemini, educating consumers on proper vehicle maintenance is a top priority. Together with NASCAR Performance, we can better communicate this initiative, which helps people protect their automotive investment,” said Mark Boswell, Goodyear Gemini program manager.
