East Penn recently announced another year of partnership with Evernham Motorsports and their NASCAR Busch series program. The Deka logo appears on the B-Post (between the driver’s window and the back window) of the No. 9 Ultimate Chargers Dodge Charger, which runs a full-time Busch series schedule. Drivers Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler, and Scott Riggs will share driving responsibilities throughout the year. The Deka logo will also appear on each driver’s Busch uniform and on all Evernham Motorsports transporters and pitboxes.
Evernham Motorsports is in its seventh season of competition in NASCAR. In the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, Kasey Kahne will be the driver for the No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger. Evernham will also campaign the No.10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Charger with driver Scott Riggs. New to Evernham in 2006, Elliott Sadler will drive the No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger in his first full season with the team.
Erin Crocker, who competed full time in the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will compete in an Evernham Motorsports Dodge in both the ARCA and NASCAR Busch series.
East Penn provides teams with the most technologically advanced batteries in the industry including a Deka racing battery. This sealed (AGM) absorbed glass mat battery is approximately three-quarters the size of a standard Group 24 battery, weighs 40% less and is completely spillproof and leakproof. The reduction in size and weight enables a race car to have a dual battery backup virtually eliminating the chances of a “DNF” due to charging systems failure.
