EnerSys (www.enersys.com) recently released its ODYSSEY battery guide for automotive applications. The guide covers the 10 batteries available for automotive/light truck vehicles, as well as optional accessories and chargers available for the batteries.

The new ODYSSEY battery guide for automotive applications includes detailed specifications and terminal layouts for models PC680, PC925, PC1200, 75/86-PC1230, 25-PC1400, 35-PC1400, 34-PC1500, 34/78-PC1500, PC1700 and 65-PC1750. Additionally, the guide outlines the features and benefits of ODYSSEY batteries, such as longer cycle life, mounting flexibility and extreme temperature tolerance.

"The ODYSSEY battery automotive guide conveys the numerous benefits the product line offers vehicle owners and car enthusiasts," said Dana Kowalski, marketing communications supervisor for EnerSys. "The principal benefit is, of course, that the ODYSSEY batteries combine considerable starting power with a high tolerance for frequent depths of discharge (DOD) without any significant loss of power."

The new guide is part of an ongoing branding initiative for ODYSSEY batteries that includes segmentation of all products and communication materials by four markets: automotive/light truck vehicle (LTV), heavy duty/commercial, powersports and marine. The initiative also includes re-branding the popular Trolling Thunder/Marine Dual Purpose Battery with its current identity, the ODYSSEY Trolling Thunder/Marine Dual Purpose Battery.
