The Car Care Council reminds aftermarket companies and organizations that its “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale kits, which include a copy of the popular Car Care Guide and a pack of 25 vehicle inspection forms, are available now in time for Fall Car Care Month in October. The kits can be easily ordered at www.carcare.org.

A form is included in each kit to order additional copies of the updated Car Care Guide. New sections on Fuel Economy and Environmental Awareness have been added to show consumers how to get better gas mileage and make their vehicle environmentally friendly.

“October will be here before you know it, so now is the time to order your starter kit for Fall Car Care Month,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “There’s no better way to help increase traffic to your business than by using the starter kit marketing and promotional materials to help grow your business.”

The kits also contain “Be Car Care Aware” signage, the “How to Host Vehicle Check-Up Events” CD/DVD, consumer education materials and the Car Care Council’s comprehensive Service Interval Schedule. The schedule helps consumers track regular vehicle servicing by taking the guesswork out of what vehicle systems need to be routinely inspected and when service or repair should be performed.

As a bonus, repair shops and parts stores that purchase the kits will be included in the Find-a-Shop locator on the www.carcare.org website, which receives more than 150,000 visitors per month.

The Car Care Council is the source of information for the “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign on behalf of the automotive aftermarket industry. The purpose of the campaign is to provide timely and accurate information about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair to consumers. For more information about routine vehicle maintenance and how to “Be Car Care Aware,” visit www.carcare.org.
