Continental Adds Flex Fuel Sensors And Electric Water Pumps To The VDO OEM Direct Parts Program

Continental-Direct-Parts-FullContinental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has expanded its recently launched VDO OEM Direct Parts program to include new water pumps and flex fuel sensors. The program also includes air actuators, electronic throttle valves, fuel injectors and fuel modules as well as MAF and MAP sensors. Continental is the manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered aftermarket replacement parts.

VDO temperature controlling water pumps are designed to provide precise engine temperature control through variation of coolant volume flow. The pump operates independent of the main cooling circuit and combustion engine operation.

VDO Flex Fuel Sensors are a featured green technology for GM vehicles. These sensors calculate the percentage of ethanol in fuel and adjust the output signal to the ECU creating dynamic ignition timing and E85 capability.

This range of premium VDO-branded OEM Direct replacement parts is offered at competitive prices and comes directly from the manufacturer, Continental. Until now, these critical parts were typically high priced and available only from the OE dealer. VDO OEM Direct Parts are the same high quality parts as supplied to vehicle manufacturers worldwide, according to Continental. They deliver exact fit and function for trouble-free, labor saving installation.

The VDO OEM Direct program offers European, domestic and Asian coverage for high-volume vehicles, as well as hard-to-find applications, Continental says.

Dan Caciolo, head of product management – engine management and fuel supply, announced the program expansion, noting, “In today’s competitive service environment, you need to ensure the quality of your work. That means doing the job right, the first time, with OE parts you can trust.”
