WD-40 Company And PowerNation To Give Away Custom Off-Road Vehicle

WD-40WD-40 Company and PowerNation are teaming up to give away a custom-built, one-of-a-kind off-road vehicle to one lucky winner in the WD-40 Specialist Xtreme Machine Giveaway.

The sweepstakes, which runs Jan. 2 – May 31, 2015 on WD40Giveaway.com, is free to enter and gives everyone a chance to win the modified 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ featured on two episodes of “Xtreme Off-Road” premiering on Jan. 3 and Jan. 10. Dubbed the WD-40 Specialist Xtreme Machine, the vehicle features an aluminum body, upgraded 5.3L GM V8 engine, Holley HP electronic fuel injection system and Turbo 400 transmission, among other upgrades.

PowerNation, a two-hour block of four automotive shows that air on NBC Sports Network, SpikeTV, the CBS Sports Network, PowerNationTV.com and the PowerNationTV app, includes “Xtreme Off-Road,” “Engine Power,” “Truck Tech” and “Detroit Muscle.”

“We’re proud our top-of-the-line WD-40 Specialist products were used to help clean, restore and disassemble the project vehicle so the PowerNation guys can do what they do best,” said Tim Lesmeister, vice president of marketing for WD-40 Company. “TV viewers will get to see the hard work Ian Johnson and the Xtreme Off-Road team put into making this vehicle a rugged rock crawler, and then be able to enter for free to win it.”

The vehicle, which debuted at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November 2014, has a custom tube chassis with 14 inches of suspension travel, Dana 60 front axle and Sterling 10.5 rear axle rebuilt with 4.56:1 gears, Mastercraft suspension seats, custom Trail-Gear aluminum beadlock wheels, 42-inch Pit Bull tires, Atlas II transfer case, coilovers all the way around, a full race communication system, LED light bar, Yukon Zip Lockers, and a 22-gallon fuel cell.
