Ranked in 4th place nationally, the team remains focused on moving further up in the standings and bringing home the 2013 Lucas Oil East Region Champion title to complement its 2012 Championship.

Competing in Region 1 of the Top Alcohol Funny Car NHRA Series, the team has enjoyed a good run. The crew is very optimistic for the balance of the season and looks forward to extending the team’s recent run of podium finishes into the remaining four races. Led by crew chief Jay Blake and driver Todd Veney, the Permatex/Follow A Dream Race Team is coming off a final-four finish at their home track, the New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.

"Not a bad weekend," Veney said. "We’re there to win, but any time you make it to the semifinals, you’re doing pretty well. We ran three 5.73s in a row in some pretty tough conditions. It just wasn’t enough to get around (reigning world champ) Frank Manzo."

The team has four events remaining on their 2013 schedule.

• August 16th – 17th: Lucas Oil East Regional – Cecil County Dragway, Rising Sun, MD

• August 30th – September 2nd: NHRA U.S. Nationals – O’Reilly Raceway Park, Indianapolis, IN

• September 13th – 15th: NHRA Nationals – zMAX Dragway, Concord, NC

• October 4th – 6th: Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals – Maple Grove Raceway, Mohnton, PA
