Book Report: Auto Authors Book Fair Set For Dearborn’s Automotive Hall of Fame

Two dozen authors and more than 50 book titles set for annual Auto Authors Book Fair Nov 16-17 at the Automotive Hall of Fame

More than two dozen authors of books about cars and the car industry will be on hand at the seventh annual Auto Authors Book Fair at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, MI, on Friday and Saturday, November 16-17, 2012.
 
The event is just in time for holiday gift shopping and best of all, most books will be discounted.
 
Renowned auto journalist Paul Ingrassia kicks things off at a preview event at 6 p.m. Friday to discuss his new book, "Engines of Change: A History of the American Dream in Fifteen Cars."

From 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday, there will be three presentations during the book fair:

* At 11: a.m., noted Corvette author Jerry Burton will show a slide presentation of his recent trip to Moscow to participate in the opening of an exhibit honoring Zora Arkus-Duntov.
      
* At 12:30 p.m., veteran journalist Bryce Hoffman, author of "American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company," will discuss where the company stands now in remarks titled "After the Applause Is Over: The Future of Ford and the Legacy of Alan Mulally."

* Co-Directors Sam Smartt and Chris Zaluski, Master of Fine Arts students at Wake Forest University, will screen their documentary film "Wagonmasters," about station wagons in American culture.
