Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered TPMS replacement parts, has added a third multi-application TPMS sensor to its REDI-Sensor line, expanding the total application coverage to more than 80 percent of TPMS-equipped vehicles on the road today in North America.

According to Steve Landis, VDO TPMS product manager, “Shops that carry these three TPMS sensor part numbers can handle practically every domestic and import vehicle that comes in for TPMS service.”

The VDO REDI-Sensor is a seamless, multi-application solution for TPMS service, providing a broad range of coverage for cars, vans, SUVs, crossovers and light trucks from 2002–2012 and beyond, according to Continental. Every VDO REDI-Sensor is OE-validated, comes pre-programmed and is ready to use out of the box, the company adds. VDO REDI-Sensor works with all major TPMS scan tools and is designed to follow existing OE vehicle relearn procedures.

Landis added, “With VDO REDI-Sensor, we are constantly researching and validating new vehicle applications daily – ensuring that our REDI-Sensor coverage continues to grow and our customers are ready to take advantage of all service opportunities.”

Overall coverage for the REDI-Sensor line now includes: Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Scion, Suzuki, and Toyota.
