Matco Tools Hosts Motorsports Appreciation Day at Ohio Technical College

NHRA Top Fuel Dragster Driver Antron Brown to visit students.

MATCO TOOLS-sponsored NHRA Top Fuel Dragster driver Antron Brown will speak to students at Ohio Technical College (OTC) during the MATCO Motorsports Appreciation Day on June 23. Brown, who is in town to race in the NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, will share his inspirational story as well as sign autographs and display his 8,000-horsepower Top Fuel Dragster.

MATCO TOOLS has been the official tool supplier for OTC and its branch campus the PowerSport Institute (PSI) since 2007. As part of the partnership, MATCO TOOLS hosts the annual Motorsports Appreciation Day where students can try out their newest tools. MATCO also has a complete Tool Store at the college so students have the opportunity to ask onsite representatives questions, receive advice for specific projects and purchase tools.

"Our goal is to provide students with the resources they need to succeed," said Anthony Kruczek, key account specialist for MATCO TOOLS. "We are proud to partner with a leading tech school that instills such enthusiasm for the automotive, diesel and powersports industry into their students."

During MATCO’S Motorsports Appreciation Day, students can also participate in Tire Changing and Spark Plug competitions for a chance to win prizes, including tickets to see Brown and the MATCO TOOLS sponsored "Iron Eagle" dragster compete in Norwalk, June 24-27.

"Everybody has a dream, but what are you willing to do in your life to make it happen?  To be a race car driver I needed money, so I got a job with MATCO TOOLS.  Before I knew it I was racing the MATCO dragster!" said Antron Brown. "There wasn’t a top school like Ohio Technical College when I was growing up. Today students have a pathway to make their dreams a reality."
