Bosch Expands Aftermarket Product Lines With 34 New Part Numbers, Including New HD Batteries

The company also added SKUs to its brake pad, oxygen sensor and rotating machine lines.

Boschbattery815Robert Bosch LLC has announced the addition of 34 new SKUs in the month of August to its aftermarket product lineup. Additions were made to the heavy-duty batteries, oxygen sensor, braking and rotating machine product lines.

Bosch Heavy Duty Batteries

Bosch has introduced a brand-new heavy-duty battery program, with 12 new SKUs. Included in the line are T6 high-performance AGM batteries, which deliver the latest technology to meet the increased demands of today’s commercial vehicles, according to Bosch. In addition, T5 dual-purpose performance batteries, which provide dependable power to heavy-duty vehicles under extreme conditions; and T4 quality performance batteries, which offer a reliable, long service life for commercial vehicles, are included.

The new heavy-duty battery SKUs offer universal coverage for all heavy-duty vehicles, according to Bosch. Five SKUs cover long-haul trucks with sleeper cabs, distribution trucks with tail lifts, fire-fighting vehicles, construction machinery, off-road trucks, coaches and buses and municipal vehicles with a high rate of city traffic. Seven SKUs cover construction machines and off-road vehicles, and applications requiring a high level of power for starting.

Bosch heavy-duty batteries are 100 percent maintenance-free, and offer dependable power in extreme conditions.

Bosch QuietCast Disc Brake Pads

One new Bosch QuietCast brake pad set is now available, covering 6,000 units in operation in the U.S. That part number covers the 2012-‘13 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 and 2013-‘15 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500.

All Bosch premium QuietCast disc brake pads feature friction formulas specific to the application – semi-metallic, NAO or copper-free ceramic – and include synthetic lubricant with all applications.

Bosch Blue Disc Brake Pads

Bosch Blue brake pads feature OE-style, multi-layer shims that provide superior noise dampening characteristics, the company says. They’re designed to deliver quality and performance and are ideal for the shop owner who is a “generalist” and is looking to provide customers with the best value. Bosch Blue brake pads come towel-wrapped on select applications for added protection and value. The material used is similar to the shop towels that technicians use on a daily basis when working on their customers’ vehicles.

One new Bosch Blue Brake Pad set SKU has been added, covering 224,000 units in operation. The part number covers models including the 2011 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG, 2013-‘15 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, 2007-‘09 Mercedes-Benz GL320 and more.

Bosch Oxygen Sensors

Bosch has announced the addition of eight new SKUs to its oxygen sensor line. The new part numbers extend coverage to 1.1 million late-model Asian, domestic and European vehicles in operation.

The new premium oxygen sensors are available for models including the 2014-‘15 Toyota Corolla, 2014-‘15 Infiniti QX60, 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, 2014 Cadillac ELR, 2013-‘15 Acura RDX and more.

In 2016, Bosch is celebrating a dual milestone in oxygen sensors: the 40th anniversary of its invention of the automotive oxygen sensor, and the production of its 1 billionth oxygen sensor. An integral part of today’s sophisticated vehicles, automotive oxygen sensors are now a standard feature on all gasoline and most diesel engines worldwide.

Rotating Machines

The Bosch Rotating Machines group has added 12 new SKUs for remanufactured alternators and starters, covering late-model Asian and domestic vehicles that are coming out of their warranty periods and are prime candidates for service in the aftermarket. The new part numbers extend coverage to 6.5 million vehicles in operation in the U.S.

Three new SKUs for remanufactured alternators cover vehicles including the 2011-‘15 Chrysler 300 V6 cyl. 3.6L, 2011-’15 Dodge Durango V6 cyl. 3.6L, 2010-‘11 Cadillac SRX V6 cyl. 2.8L, 2010-‘11 Saab 9-5 V6 cyl. 2.8, 2011-‘14 Ford F-150 V8 cyl. 5.0L and more.

Nine new SKUs for remanufactured starters are now available for models including the 2013-’14 Ford E-150 V8 cyl. 4.6L, 2013-‘15 Ford E-450 Super Duty V10 cyl. 6.8L, 2013-‘15 Honda Accord L4 cyl. 2.4L, 2010-’15 Toyota 4Runner V6 cyl. 4.0L, 2008-‘15 Lexus LX570 V8 cyl. 5.7L, 2008-15 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 cyl. 5.7L, 2005-‘07 Subaru Legacy H4 cyl. 2.5L, 2012-‘14 Mazda 3 L4 cyl. 2.0L and more.

Bosch says its remanufactured starters and alternators are built with top-quality materials using the most advanced technology to withstand extreme heat, cold and high demand. They are 100 percent performance-tested to last longer and deliver more reliable service, the company adds.

“Bosch is committed to providing technicians with dependable, quality parts, whether it’s innovating a brand new product line, celebrating significant production milestones or continuing to extend coverage for existing lines,” said Thomas Winter, Robert Bosch LLC, vice president Automotive Aftermarket NA. “Bosch provides parts for shops and garages to be efficient in servicing their customers’ vehicles.”
