FRAM Puts Technicians to the ‘Test’

FRAM launched its new interactive website, Proving Grounds, to give professionals an inside look at the extensive testing that its oil filters are put through.

FRAM, America’s leading oil filter brand, launched its new interactive website, Proving Grounds, to give professionals an inside look at the extensive testing that its oil filters are put through. As the first step in FRAM’s new “Don’t Fail Your Engine” campaign, the website includes videos featuring FRAM Chief Engineer Gary Bilski in their Perrysburg, OH, lab, where he explains and demonstrates all of the rigorous oil filter tests all models are exposed to as part of their quality control process.

“What sets FRAM apart from other filters is the brand’s transparency,” said Duane Pekar, director of marketing for FRAM. “We believe that FRAM is the best oil filter for your engine, and we’re willing to show it.”

Styled after the television show MythBusters, the website features three videos titled Clog Test, Dirt Test, and Burst Test. Each video gives technicians a detailed look and offers insight into the extent to which FRAM filters are tested for performance under pressure, as well as the longevity of the product under pressure. By viewing these videos, professional technicians will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with FRAM oil filters, as well as the product’s construction and technology.
