NGK Expands Sponsorship With NHRA Top Sportsman Driver Don O’Neal

The sponsorship with O'Neal has been extended through the 2019 season, and NGK will take the primary entitlement spot on the hood of his 632 Big Block Chevy.

NGK Spark Plugs
has extended its sponsorship with NHRA Top Sportsman Driver and U.S. Army Veteran Don O’Neal through the 2019 season, taking the primary entitlement spot on the hood of his 632 Big Block Chevy.

“I was lucky enough to join the NGK Team a few years ago. Being able to extend the relationship through the 2019 season is just awesome,” said O’Neal. “Win or lose, I like to race. It’s important knowing that NGK has our backs; we’re going to tell everyone about The Ignition Specialist.”

In April, O’Neal’s first race of the season will be at the NGK Spark Plugs Four-Wide Nationals at the zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, the iconic logo of NGK Spark Plugs will make its debut on O’Neal’s Chevy for the first time.

“NGK is proud to extend our partnership with Don O’Neal to 2019. Many exciting things are happening with NGK this year, like the first-ever NGK Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals at the end of this month,” said Terry Steffes, marketing manager. “NGK is committed to power and performance and we’re glad to have Don O’Neal as a partner in this.”

O’Neal says he hopes that racers and fans alike will stop by and share the NGK Spark Plugs, The Ignition Specialist story at the NGK Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals, and all the NHRA and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events.
