The partners will debut the new wrap Oct. 11-13 at the NTK NHRA Carolina Nationals in Concord, North Carolina.
O’Neal has used NGK racing spark plugs in his 1999 Monte Carlo 632 Big Block Chevy engine with three-stage nitrous for the past five years and now O’Neal will look to use NTK engine sensors in a new race car. NTK is a member of the NGK Spark Plugs family of brands.

The sponsorship with O’Neal has been extended through the 2019 season, and NGK will take the primary entitlement spot on the hood of his 632 Big Block Chevy.

This multi-year agreement includes Lucas Oil’s recent decision to sign on as the title sponsor for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series opener.
NGK Spark Plugs announces a two-year partnership with NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster, Megan Meyer. This continues a decades-long tradition of NGK as the preferred performance spark plug for the Meyer team, as NGK sponsored Meyer’s father and team-owner, Randy Meyer for many years.
The contingency sponsorship applies to racers using E3 spark plugs and wire sets. Finalists in the Pro Mod class that display the E3 decal and use both E3 products will qualify for $1,000 for the winner and $500 for the runner-up.
