Philips Automotive Lighting North America now offers two new Philips Bulb Cabinets, the Philips Premium and Commercial Cabinets. These cabinets are designed to help increase shops’ service profits by building extra lighting sales. They can help a shop keep the right mix of popular replacement bulbs on hand to avoid delays and take advantage of lighting service opportunities, the company adds.

The Premium Cabinet measures 25” x 4” x 23” and features a lockable, swing out door, spot-welded shelves with Philips’ patented bottom “scoop” and seven adjustable plastic dividers. The Philips Premium Cabinet allows shops to stock and sell any mix of Philips headlight upgrades ideal for their business.

The Philips Commercial Cabinet measures 19” x 4” x 26” and features a pull-up, welded door and metal shelving, four plastic tip-out trays with 28 adjustable dividers and a wire catalog holder. It is also available with the Philips Commercial Starter Kit, which is sold separately. The Starter Kit provides an initial inventory of the most popular standard replacement bulbs often needed.

According to Ann-Marie Hines, marketing manager at Philips Automotive Lighting, “Vehicle lighting is near the top of the list of underperformed services in today’s automotive market. This problem greatly concerns us because improper lighting significantly affects both driver and vehicle safety. We hope that our new bulb cabinets will encourage shops to stock more light bulbs and make this invaluable maintenance service available to more of their customers.”

Philips offers a range of headlight upgrades designed to give customers the ability to select a replacement bulb of their choice for greater safety, personalized driving style or maximum performance, the company says. These upgrades include Philips Vision, Philips VisionPlus, Philips X-treme Vision and Philips CrystalVision Ultra, which are DOT compliant and street-legal.
