WIX Filters Box Top Program Provides Nearly $50,000 for Local FFA Chapters

WIX Filters, part of Affinia Group's family of brands, donated nearly $50,000 to local FFA chapters throughout the United States through its popular WIX Filters/FFA box top program. The WIX Filters/FFA box top program has helped the organization raise funds for 20 consecutive years.

WIX Filters, part of Affinia Group’s family of brands, donated nearly $50,000 to local FFA chapters throughout the United States through its popular WIX Filters/FFA box top program. The WIX Filters/FFA box top program has helped the organization raise funds for 20 consecutive years.

Between January and April 2007, participating FFA chapters encouraged members, businesses and individuals in their communities that use WIX Filters oil, air and fuel filters to turn in box tops. The FFA chapters redeemed each WIX Filters box top for a 25 cent contribution. This year participating FFA chapters redeemed 166,939 box tops, earning a donation from WIX Filters, including six $1,000 bonuses, of $47,225.

“The Affina Group and WIX are proud to support the National FFA Organization for the 20th straight year through the WIX Filters/FFA box top program,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager of WIX Filters. “Our partnership with the FFA provides agribusinesses, rural enterprises and individuals with an opportunity to support America’s future agriculture leaders, while receiving superior engine protection from WIX’s industry leading filters.”

The WIX Filters/FFA box top program donation total of $47,225 includes six $1,000 bonus awards for chapters meeting the following criteria: most overall box tops redeemed during the program period; highest percentage increase in box top redemption from 2006 to 2007; and the top four chapters based on number of box tops redeemed per member.

The Waterford FFA Chapter in Waterford, OH, earned a $1,000 bonus for submitting the most box tops (4,983) of any FFA Chapter in 2007. Four FFA chapters received $1,000 bonuses for submitting the most box tops per member: La Kesida FFA in Plummer, IN, (274.25 per member); Cimarron FFA in Lahoma, OK, (142.30 per member); McLean FFA in McLean, TX, (109.22 per member); and the Laurel-Concord FFA in Laurel, NE, (106.21 per member). The Cambridge FFA Chapter in Cambridge, WI, (4,785 box tops) delivered the largest percentage increase of box tops submitted to earn a $1,000 bonus as well.
