TRICO Launches Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades Campaign

Daylight-saving time is fast approaching, arriving this year on Sunday, March 9. Daylight-saving time is fast approaching, arriving this year on Sunday, March 9. Since many consumers use daylight-saving time as a twice-a-year reminder for critical household safety measures – such as changing the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors – TRICO (www.tricoproducts.com) will again support aftermarket retailers with its “Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades” consumer awareness campaign. The campaign promotes the safety benefits of replacing wiper blades and encourages consumers to add wiper replacement to their daylight-saving time checklists.

Now in its ninth year, TRICO’s “Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades” campaign will promote the installation of new wiper blades as an important semi-annual safety step via thousands of newspapers, television and radio stations and web outlets across the United States.

“The transition to daylight saving time is an ideal opportunity for aftermarket retailers and motor vehicle service facilities to encourage their customers to change their wiper blades,” said James Croston, director of marketing for TRICO Products. “Safety is on most consumers’ minds at this time of year, and harsh winter weather reduces the effectiveness of even the highest-quality wiper blades. ‘Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades’ is a proven campaign that makes automobile safety top of mind.”

The “Change Your Clocks, Change Your Blades” campaign will also be supported by TRICO’s new website, which provides product catalogs, determines blade sizes for hundreds of vehicle makes and models and helps visitors locate nearby retailers and installers that carry TRICO wiper blades and accessories for automobiles and recreational vehicles.
