The Penray Companies, a manufacturer of diesel and automotive chemicals, announced it has joined Terry McMillen Racing in its quest to make The Countdown for the 2013 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Terry McMillen, driver of the Amalie Oil/UNOH Top Fuel Dragster, is about to begin his fourth full-season on tour. With a busy and short off-season, McMillen was happy to announce his team’s relationship with Penray before the Feb. 14-17 season opening NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif.

"We’ve never been more excited about an associate partner," McMillen said. "Not only do we use and love their products on our race team, but we see lots of synergies and opportunities in the business-to-business environment that will make this a dynamic relationship for years to come."

"Penray has looked for sporting venues that would best exemplify our core values and convey the Penray message to our target market," said Randy Fowler, vice president of sales, The Penray Companies. "NHRA, and specifically Terry McMillen Racing, provide that fit. From day one, Penray has been impressed with the TMR organization and look forward to our partnership going forward."

McMillen’s team will unveil a slightly new look in Pomona for the 2013 campaign. The team updated the gator-themed graphics on the car, and added a more aerodynamic package and new team members. "We always want to represent our marketing partners on and off the track," McMillen said. "We’re hoping some of these changes will be the extra competitive edge we’re looking for."

Fowler added that he thinks employees and customers will like the Penray brand on McMillen’s car this season.

"We anticipate a ton of excitement once the TMR car rolls out with the Penray logo prominently displayed on the car. It is our belief that our quality image will be well represented with a quality NHRA race team."
