Standard Motor Products Launches New Mobile Parts App

SMPStandard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has unveiled version 1.0 of the SMP Parts Mobile App for both Android and Apple devices, now available for download at the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

“We are very excited about version 1.0 of our new SMP Parts App,” said Phil Hutchens, vice president marketing, SMP. “The new SMP Parts App features a robust and flexible catalog lookup, and one of the most exciting features is the ability to search all SMP brands at once. We believe this will be a very useful tool for our customers.”

The SMP Parts App allows input by part number and year, make, model and engine, and also includes a VIN scanner. Plus, every search can be saved for future reference.

The company says the most unique component of the SMP Parts App is its UPC scan utility. Counterpersons and technicians can scan the UPC code on any SMP brand box and receive all of the online content associated with that part number, such as multiple images, installation instructions, videos, part specs, related parts and more. The SMP Parts App will always be up-to-date because it will always deliver the latest information, SMP adds.
