Spicer Chassis has increased its control arm coverage by 129 part numbers. The Spicer Professional Grade chassis part number announcement is part of a larger plan for Spicer to expand its first-to-market action plan, the company said.

The new control arms arrive complete and cover applications ranging from luxury imports to heavy-duty pick-ups.

“We want to make sure that technicians have an all-inclusive list of chassis choices available to them that meet or exceed OE form, fit and function,” said Jeff Repaal, director of steering and suspension for Affinia Under Vehicle Group. “The release of these new numbers reflects our commitment to providing OE quality solutions in a manner that is both timely and cost-effective.”

Many of the new part numbers are designed to address ball joint and/or control arm failure on select vehicles and began rolling into the market in mid-May. The majority of new numbers will be released this summer, and all of the new part numbers will be available by the end of October. A full listing of these new part numbers can be found by calling on your local Spicer Chassis distributor or by using Spicer’s new electronic catalog system — eSelect.

eSelect is a synchronized web-based program that resides on a hard drive allowing for immediate response. Updates are available for downloading monthly, so technicians and jobbers have access to the latest information.

The user selects the appropriate choices of year, make and model, and Spicer eSelect provides the user with the correct Spicer Chassis Products part numbers for the selected vehicle.

Spicer eSelect also provides users with the opportunity to view pictures and read additional information on each part. Additionally, most parts can be viewed within an entire system diagram that highlights the specific part within the system. Users can also download, and print if needed, important tech bulletins, tech tips and other information via Spicer eSelect.

“Our customers have been asking for a quicker way to locate their part numbers,” said Ken Myers, brand manager for Spicer Chassis Products. “Our goal was to develop an online program that saves jobbers and technicians valuable time, and I really think we simplified the ordering process with our new Spicer eSelect.
