PBR Expands Aftermarket Brake Component Presence in North America

In a move that will strengthen their position in the North American Aftermarket, PBR International is pleased to announce a new distribution arrangement with Worldwide Parts and Accessories Corporation, otherwise known as WORLDPAC.

In a move that will strengthen their position in the North American Aftermarket, PBR International is pleased to announce a new distribution arrangement with Worldwide Parts and Accessories Corporation, otherwise known as WORLDPAC.

During the past 20 years PBR has developed a significant presence as an original equipment brake component supplier to the North American automotive industry.

Car manufacturers are no strangers to PBR’s brake expertise with 20 percent of vehicles manufactured in North America during 2005 (more than three million) being fitted with PBR brakes.

PBR has developed OE brakes for a broad range of vehicles including American icons such as the Chevrolet Corvette – a relationship which spans more than 20 years and has led to the development of a high-spec brake system for the current 2005 (500hp) Z06 Corvette.

As a global manufacturer, PBR has production facilities in North America, Australia, China, Thailand, Malaysia and Italy with product development being coordinated through specialized engineering facilities in Australia, North America, China and Italy.

WORLDPAC is a leading distributor of replacement automotive parts for the growing imported vehicle market in North America. In partnership with PBR, they are now able to offer a comprehensive brake program for domestic vehicles.

“This is a significant step towards consolidating our position as a serious player in the North American brake Aftermarket,” stated Peter Culley, vice president PBR Aftermarket.

PBR’s product offering through WORLDPAC includes distribution of the already popular PBR replacement disc pad range along with brake shoes, calipers, rotors, drums, hoses and brake hydraulic parts.

PBR premium replacement brake parts will now be available to service U.S. produced passenger vehicles, light trucks and SUVs along with a select range of imported vehicles.

“The timing for this new arrangement is perfect,” said Culley. “A growing number of installers are realizing the benefits of using quality products from OE brake manufacturers. There is a lot of interest in PBR’s premium replacement brake products and availability through WORLDPAC will enable more people to experience PBR brakes first hand.”

The entire new PBR premium replacement brake parts range is now available exclusively through WORLDPAC. Further information can be obtained from www.pbrbrakes.com.
