Order Car Care Guides for Fall Car Care Month

Digital version of guide also available as online reference.

The Car Care Council reminds aftermarket companies and organizations to order copies of the popular Car Care Guide for Fall Car Care Month in October. Orders can be easily placed by visiting the Car Care Council website at http://www.carcare.org/car-care-guide and clicking on the link for the desired order form.

In addition, the Car Care Council has launched a digital version of its popular Car Care Guide that can also be easily accessed through the council’s website at http://www.carcare.org/car-care-guide.

“With Fall Car Care Month quickly approaching, now is the time to order copies of the Car Care Guide for your customers,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “The guide is a popular consumer give-away at repair shops and retail stores. You can also send your customers to our website to view the digital version of the Car Care Guide. It serves as a quick, online reference for them to find preventive maintenance information.”

The Car Care Guide uses easy-to-understand everyday language, instead of technical automotive jargon, and fits easily in a glove box. The guide covers the most common preventive maintenance occasions and procedures that need to be performed to keep cars safe, dependable and efficient. It also includes descriptions of 12 major vehicle systems and parts, and a list of questions to ask when maintenance or repair procedures are being done on a car. A Car Care Checklist reminds motorists what vehicle systems need to be maintained and when service or repair should be performed.

Recently, the council added new sections on Fuel Economy and Environmental Awareness to the Car Care Guide to show consumers how to get better gas mileage and make their vehicle more environmentally friendly.

The Car Care Council is the source of information for the “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign promoting the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair to consumers. For more information, visit www.carcare.org.
