New VDO REDI-Sensor Online Quiz Helps Increase Basic TPMS and Tire Safety Knowledge

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered TPMS replacement parts, has just launched a new online quiz to help aftermarket distributors, tire dealers and service providers test their knowledge about TPMS and learn more about applications, benefits and use of tire pressure monitoring systems on today's passenger cars and light trucks.

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered TPMS replacement parts, has just launched a new online quiz to help aftermarket distributors, tire dealers and service providers test their knowledge about TPMS and learn more about applications, benefits and use of tire pressure monitoring systems on today’s passenger cars and light trucks. The quiz has been posted on the VDO REDI-Sensor website, www.redi-sensor.com.

According to Steve Landis, VDO TPMS product manager, “This quiz is a fun way to make sure that our aftermarket parts and service community is up to speed on some basic TPMS knowledge. As more and more TPMS equipped vehicles come in for service, the need to know more about the systems and their service requirements is vital from both a maintenance and profitability standpoint.”

The overall quiz covers 11 key points about TPMS principles, operation and service. Participants who complete the quiz also will get a chance to win a REDI-Sensor baseball cap. Continental will award five hats per week during the quiz promotional period, which is scheduled to run every day until June 30. All pertinent information for the quiz as well as performance and vehicle application information for VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensors is provided on the website.

VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensors deliver a game-changing advancement in TPMS service, the company says. They are compatible with all major TPMS scan tools and are pre-programmed, so there is no need for new training or specialized programming tool investments. If a shop has the tools and knowledge to work with the OE sensors, it is ready for REDI-Sensor.

VDO REDI-Sensor sensors come ready to use right out of the box and are designed to relearn to the vehicle in the exact same way as the OE sensors, according to Continental. The sensors are OE-validated for fit, function and reliability. REDI-Sensor sensors can be used by themselves or in combination with OE sensors on a vehicle.
