It’s Tool Rally Time! Cornwell Quality Tools 2011 Rally

Be sure to ask your tool and equipment distributors if they attended the recent shows. They should be bringing you the latest in tools offered. Since the TechShop team was there too, we're providing a short re-cap of the Mac, Matco and Cornwell tool shows for you.

This two-day show packed a lot of punch. The company showcased its made-in-the-U.S.A. tool boxes, including the new 46” tool box. Cornwell’s tool boxes go through a stringent quality control system at the company’s plants.

Distributor April McDougald found the trip from Tacoma, WA, to the Rally a helpful one. “The Cornwell Tools Rally is a very cool show. Having access to that many different vendors, all under one roof, being able to talk to them face-to-face, hold the tools in my hand, really get a feel for it before ordering — that’s cool!

“To me, the Rally is the place to find that ‘must have’ new tool that just hit the market. Plus, it is a great place to get the pulse of the tool industry; what’s new, what’s hot and what tools have been improved,” McDougald said.

Distributor Garret Spy said the Rally “was very informative and fun.” And, distributor Sean Fenton from Puyallup, WA, appreciates the perks of the Rally. “It brings all the dealers from all over the United States together.”

Brian Leibowitz of Coastal Boot said, “The big winners (at the Rally) were our new CB Boots — The Venom, the Grinder and Grinder Steel. They also seemed to still love the Stomp and Stomp Steel boots. Those have always been our sellers, but distributors really liked those new ones, too.” Leibowitz said that the company’s new line of mechanics belts was also a hot seller.
