NAPA AUTO PARTS, the Official Auto Parts Store of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, presented Garrettesville, OH, resident Dave Harrington a NAPA Trick Truck award at the 11th Goodguys Nationals this weekend in Columbus, OH, for his 1952 Chevy truck.
Harrington and a friend took four years to build this Chevy from the bare chassis and cab to what it is today. It’s been painted black with a green undertone for a deep black look that changes slightly in the sun and shade. A 540 Arias engine and a 400T transmission sits under the hood, while the entire body sits on a Scotts Air Ride system, American Racing wheels on the front and a large set of Mickey Thompson tires in the rear.
There have been several other body modifications done to the Chevy, including the bed being sliced and refinished, as well as covering the interior in red leather. Harrington’s truck has been honored on several different occasions since it’s completion in 2006.
Harrington earned a $100 NAPA gift certificate for tools from the on-site NAPA Tool & Equipment tent. In addition to the $100 NAPA gift certificate, he also received a NAPA hat, t-shirt and grease towel.
NAPA is presenting Trick Truck awards at all 24 Goodguys events with a projected annual attendance of 1.7 million.
