The Service and Parts Divisions of Ford Motor Company, Chrysler LLC and General Motors announce the launch of The Power Line — a nationwide toll-free number to support aftermarket engine and transmission assembly sales and service to independent repair facilities.

Independent repair facilities can call The Power Line at 866-OE-PARTS (866-637-2787) to speak to factory-trained technicians who can provide powertrain technical support and assistance. The Power Line will also provide warranty assistance and sales support for genuine Ford, Mopar and GM gas and diesel engine and transmission assemblies.

George Weber, group product marketing & remanufacturing manager, Ford Motor Company said, “We designed the Power Line to make it easier for fleets and independent repair facilities to purchase OE powertrain assemblies and take advantage of the many benefits” including:

  • Quality — nobody knows a vehicle better than the engineers who built it;
  • No hassle core return policy — allows for more accurate customer quotes with no hidden surprises;
  • Nationwide warranty — 3-year/100,000-mile parts & labor for gas engines & transmission; and
  • Same day or next day delivery — no downtime waiting around for the parts to arrive.

Scott Barone, senior manager — Wholesale Channel, Chrysler LLC said, “We want to make it easier for independent repair facilities to service their customers — the vehicle owners — by offering one, toll-free number to call.”

“Working collaboratively to establish a toll-free hotline for GM, Chrysler and Ford OE powertrains is an important step for the Detroit three,” said Michael R. Durkin, director, Powertrain Business Line, General Motors Service and Parts Operations. “We are leveraging our resources to be more competitive and making it easier for independent repair facilities, who service multiple vehicle makes and models, to do business with each of us by calling one number. It’s a win-win for the independents and the OEs.”

The Power Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT providing technical support, warranty assistance and sales facilitation for powertrain assemblies covering Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Plymouth, Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, GMC, Hummer, Cadillac, Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles.
