VDO and ATE brands are now part of the Continental Corporation’s product portfolio. The addition of the VDO lines of electric motors, engine management, instrumentation, and door systems comes as part of the acquisition of Siemens VDO AG by Continental AG. The ATE lines of brake rotors, pads and service parts had already been part of the Continental portfolio.

Along with the VDO and ATE lines, Continental now offers a complete line of TPMS replacement parts under the Continental brand.

According to David Mestdagh, director, North American Aftermarket Operations, Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, Interior Division, Continental, “Our aftermarket group is already enjoying the benefits of the Siemens VDO acquisition. It is a perfect fit of people and products and will allow us to offer our customers the products, programs and services of two highly innovative companies, from one source, at very competitive prices and with unsurpassed quality. Our customers can also count on reliable fill rates, consistent category growth and regular new part number introductions, along with the sales programs, tools and services they need to increase their revenue opportunities.”

ATE PremiumOne Brake Parts
The ATE brand is 100 years strong and has always represented OE engineering heritage and excellence. ATE continues to maintain customer trust and confidence by consistently applying its OE engineering standards to the entire ATE line of brake products and delivering on the promise of OE quality, fit, and performance. ATE PremiumOne pads feature application-matched, OE-engineered friction formulations, which help restore original equipment performance, reduce wheel dusting, and extend pad life. ATE PremiumOne rotors not only deliver advanced performance but also feature the patented RotorLife wear indicator, which provides a visual reference of rotor thickness and helps identify the need for replacement. The wear indicator’s elliptical grooves also dissipate heat and gases to reduce brake fade and extend pad life. The patented MetaCote protective coating helps to prevent rust and corrosion so the rotors maintain a clean appearance.
