Toyota Motor Corp. has presented its Global Contribution Award to the Bosch Group. This is the highest supplier honor the automaker awards, and is given in recognition of companies that have performed outstandingly over the previous year.

Bosch secured the prestigious honor through continuous improvement activities and collaboration with Toyota on a global level, particularly in the areas of quality, communication, smooth launch management and cost optimization. This is the fourth time Bosch has received Toyota’s Global Contribution Award, which it also earned in 2003, 2004, and 2011.

The award was presented as part of the annual Global Supplier Conference, which took place on Feb. 21, 2013, at the Nagoya Congress Center. Dr. Volkmar Denner, chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, accepted the Global Contribution Award on behalf of the Bosch Group from Fujio Cho, chairman of Toyota.

“We are proud to receive this award, which we see as a recognition for the dedication our associates have shown,” said Denner after the presentation. “Bosch will consistently strive to maintain technological leadership through innovative and efficient high quality products.”

In 2013, Bosch also won the “Superior Value Improvement Award” for its cost-competitive products, including the development of the most cost-competitive ESC (electronic stability control) to date. This compact and lightweight anti-skid system meets the increasing demand for safety technologies.
