ATE PremiumOne Disc Brake Rotor and Pad Line Now Covers 1990-2010 Domestics and Imports

Expanded to more than 1,300 SKUs, applications exceed 150 million vehicles.

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, a leading aftermarket supplier of OE-engineered aftermarket products, has dramatically expanded the coverage for its line of ATE PremiumOne Disc Brake Rotors and Pads. Continental has added 22 new disc brake pads and 23 new disc brake rotors to the line, bringing the total offering to more than 600 pads and 700 rotor SKUs.

With more than 1,300 total SKUs, ATE PremiumOne application coverage now extends to more than 150 million registered cars, light trucks, vans and SUVs in the U.S. and Canada. Make and model coverage includes both domestics and imports from 1990 to 2010.

ATE PremiumOne Rotors feature a patented RotorLife wear indicator that provides a quick visual reference of rotor thickness and helps identify the need for replacement. The wear indicator’s elliptical grooves also dissipate heat and gases in order to reduce brake fade and extend pad life. A MetaCote protective coating is applied to help prevent rust and corrosion so the rotors maintain a clean appearance.

ATE PremiumOne Disc Brake Pads are formulated to restore original equipment performance, reduce wheel dusting, and extend pad life. The pads are designed with shims, slots and chamfered edges in order to match OE pad performance and reduce noise. For a complete installation, all pads are provided with applicable accessories such as clips, anti-noise shims, wear sensors and electrical connectors.

ATE PremiumOne brake pads and rotors provide the finest OE-engineered replacements available for your vehicle. Install them together for the ultimate in braking system performance – performance that’s engineered to provide the customer with the optimum braking performance as specified by the original vehicle manufacturer.

ATE offers a comprehensive line of premium brake system replacement parts, hydraulics and service products.

Long-Life Coolants Explained

Different types of coolants cover a range of applications from diesel to domestic, Asian and European vehicles. Each one is formulated to a specific manufacturer’s specifications to keep their engines at an optimal temperature. But, changes to the old one-size-fits-all formula has led to confusion for consumers and even some technicians.

Diagnosing Intelligent Cooling Systems

The majority of cooling systems on the roads react to what is happening inside the combustion chamber. After the engine is stressed, the heat causes the thermostat to open. Increases in temperatures will also cause the cooling fans to come on. The heat carried by the coolant is the trigger for operation of the fans and thermostat.

Modern Cooling System Design: It’s Not About Temperature; It’s About Powertrain

Given the advanced state of internal combustion engine technology, some recent cooling system innovations will actually increase engine torque and fuel economy while reducing exhaust emissions. Let me simplify that idea: new cooling system technology will make engines run better and cleaner. So, let’s get on the same page by reviewing some basics.
