AAPEX Designates Oct. 30 as NASCAR Celebrity Day

The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) has designated its opening day on Tuesday, Oct. 30 as NASCAR Celebrity Day to highlight NASCAR drivers and crew chiefs attending the show. AAPEX will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) has designated its opening day on Tuesday, Oct. 30 as NASCAR Celebrity Day to highlight NASCAR drivers and crew chiefs attending the show. AAPEX will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV.

NASCAR drivers and crew chiefs attend AAPEX as invited guests of various exhibitors. In 2007, many drivers will make their first appearance at AAPEX on NASCAR Celebrity Day. Celebrities also will be at exhibitors’ booths throughout the event.

On NASCAR Celebrity Day, there will be maps and signage to identify the times and locations of celebrity appearances and overhead monitors to show the most up-to-date list of celebrities at AAPEX.

Celebrity appearances will be listed prior to the event on the AAPEX website at www.aapexshow.com. Exhibitors who plan to invite celebrities to AAPEX should complete the entry form on the AAPEX website by Sept. 7, 2007.

NASCAR celebrities who were at AAPEX in 2006 included: Ken Schrader, Motorcraft/Ford Motor Company #21 NASCAR driver; Matt Borland #12 Mobil 1 crew chief; Tommy Baldwin, NASCAR Cup crew chief; Greg Zipadell, two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion crew chief; Kyle Busch and Jamie McMurray, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers; J.J. Yeley, NASCAR NEXTEL race car driver – Interstate Batteries; Robby Gordon, NASCAR race car driver; and Johnny Benson, NASCAR driver (#23 Craftsman Series Truck Driver).

AAPEX is the annual business-to-business trade show representing the global automotive aftermarket and features more than 2,000 exhibitors.
