Kevin Harvick, spokesperson for Federal-Mogul’s Champion brand of spark plugs, filters, wiper blades and chemical additives, delivered a record-setting performance in winning Saturday’s Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville (VA) Speedway.

Starting on the pole in the Richard Childress Racing No. 2 Tide/Kroger Chevrolet Silverado, Harvick led a series-record 248 of 250 laps in capturing his 14th Truck Series victory. The previous record was 246 laps, set in 2007 by Mike Skinner. Harvick was followed to the finish line by rookie driver and RCR teammate Ty Dillon (No. 3 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Chevrolet).

“RCR set both teams up with great equipment for the race," Harvick said. “They’re (No. 3 team) racing for a championship as a rookie entry, and I have partially made it my responsibility to teach and mentor Dillon when I can, so he has the chance to learn.”

As official spokesperson for the Champion brand, Harvick – better known as driver of the RCR No. 29 Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup Series – has helped spearhead several innovative programs designed to introduce the brand’s latest “Performance Driven” technologies to millions of racing enthusiasts and other consumers. One of the world’s most recognized and respected brands, Champion today represents an extensive offering of advanced products, including world-class Champion spark plugs; Champion oil, air and cabin-air filters; Champion wiper blades; and Champion chemical additives for automotive and small-engine applications.

“Kevin is one of the most popular and successful drivers in professional racing,” said Federal-Mogul Motorsports Director Tim Nelson. “More important, he is a nearly lifelong fan of Champion and relies on our latest spark plug designs to power the No. 29 Chevrolet Impala and No. 2 Chevrolet Silverado. His continued dominance on the track demonstrates the value of using ‘Performance Driven’ parts in your car, truck, snowmobile, boat, ATV or other engine-powered equipment.”
