WIX Filters has just unveiled a new look for its WIX H2 mobile marketing unit for 2012 – a tribute to Ryan Newman’s No. 39 NASCAR Sprint Cup WIX Filters sponsored paint scheme.

“The WIX H2 and its driver, who is known across the country as Hummer Bob, have attended more than a 1,000 events in the past eight years at auto part stores, distributors, trade shows and races,” said Mike Harvey, brand manager for WIX Filters. “Hummer Bob and the WIX H2 have a bit of a cult following; it is really fun to watch the excitement and see the attachment people have with the WIX H2.”

A WIX H2 appearance is an annual event for many WIX customers. Fully equipped with WIX oil, air, fuel, and cabin air filters, the WIX H2 features interactive displays where customers can see and feel the quality difference in a WIX filter.

The new Ryan Newman-inspired look will promote WIX Filters’ primary sponsorship of Newman and his No. 39 Chevrolet at four races in 2012, beginning at the season kick-off Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 18. WIX will be Newman’s primary sponsor for three additional NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events this year – at Phoenix International Raceway on March 4, Darlington Raceway on May 12 and Michigan International Speedway on Aug. 19.

The WIX H2’s adventures are chronicled with photos and videos through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The WIX H2’s event schedule can also be found at www.facebook.com/wixfilters.

While open dates are extremely limited, interested customers can log on to www.wixconnect.com or contact their local distributor to inquire about booking the WIX H2 for an event.

Belts and Pulley Alignment

A misalignment of the plane of the belt can occur when a pulley is not parallel to the other pulleys on the belt drive system.

Drive Belt Alignment Alignment is key to the health of an engine belt. The belt drive system is designed to create friction between the grooves on the belt and pulley to transfer power from the crankshaft to the alternator, water pump or power steering pump. If the grooves on the belt do not align with the pulleys, the friction won’t be evenly applied and can result in wear and noise.
