Delphi Parts Featured in Upcoming SPEED Episodes of Two Guys Garage and Truck U

Delphi Automotive has teamed up with SPEED, a premier cable network, to provide products and technical insight for two of the network's most popular shows - Two Guys Garage and Truck U.

Delphi Automotive has teamed up with SPEED, a premier cable network, to provide products and technical insight for two of the network’s most popular shows–Two Guys Garage and Truck U. Each show performs on-air aftermarket repairs ranging from worn engine sensors to fuel pump replacement. SPEED is a popular channel for motorsports and car repair enthusiasts.

Two Guys Garage hosts Kevin Byrd and Bryan Fuller, and Truck U hosts Bruno Massel and Matt Steele, demonstrate to viewers a variety of vehicle repair projects and help educate audiences on the operational aspects of vehicle components and systems.

Delphi’s unique technical capabilities provide market-leading and differentiating technologies for OEs and the aftermarket,” said Carrie Wright, director, global brand & communications, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “These programs help showcase those benefits to viewers so they can actively request Delphi parts when it comes time for their next vehicle repair.”

The Two Guys Garage season premiere is Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 8:30am EST with Alan Gustafson of Hendrick Motorsports as the special guest. Gustafson is crew chief of the Delphi-sponsored number 24 Chevrolet. The episode will feature repairs to a Chevrolet Impala engine management system using Delphi’s mass air flow sensor probe and planar oxygen sensor. Gustafson joins Byrd and Fuller via the Hendrick Motorsports Headquarters in Concord, NC to answer questions from the viewers regarding the switch to fuel injection for NASCAR and other upcoming changes for next season.

Delphi’s mass air flow sensor probe is a greener approach to repair because a single part can be used across a broad range of nearly eight million vehicles already on the road. Delphi innovation allows for replacement of just the sensor probe, instead of the sensor probe and housing. The solution eliminates waste and is cost-effective.

Truck U premieres Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 3:30pm EST. The hosts will service a Ford F-150 with problem indicators on the dash; repairs will be made using a Delphi fuel pump and ABS wheel speed sensor. By using its patented OE Gen IV turbine pump, Delphi is applying the modern fuel pump technology to upgrade older applications to higher levels of performance. In addition, Delphi uses Packard® OE wiring on its Gen IV pump for increased reliability, durability and corrosion resistance. Massel and Steele also educate the audience about the technological evolution and improvement of ignition coils over the years. Earlier this year, Delphi announced the expansion of its fuel product portfolio with the addition of 108 Ford fuel hanger pumps and sending unit assemblies this year.

In addition to the August 13 and August 20 premieres, the shows will be repeated on SPEED during August, September and October. Check local listings for exact times.
