What Are Your Top 5 Favorite Tools?

Let us know what five tools you couldn't work without.

For more than five years, we’ve featured a column in TechShop — Equipment, Tools & Supplies magazine called “Top 5 Tools — Technicians’ Top 5 Favorite Tools & Equipment.” Readers have sent in the five tools that help them most in the shop — from scan tools to flashlights, impact wrenches to on-car brake lathes, computer systems to office managers.

If you haven’t sent your Top 5 Tools in, what’s stopping you? Do you have an opinion about the tools and equipment you use? Do you support a tool so fiercely that you want the world to know about it too? If so, then here’s your chance to tell people what you think.

We’ll feature you and your Top 5 Favorite Tools in an upcoming issue of TechShop (and post it to our website).

Submitting your favorite tools is easier than ever. Just click here http://www.techshopmag.com/submittoptools.aspx and enter your name, shop, city and state, list of tools including the brand name, and why you like them. You can even upload a photo.

Or e-mail your submission to [email protected].

Be sure to include:

• The brand name and type of tool;

• A sentence or two explaining why those tools/equipment are your favorites;

• A photo of yourself and/or your shop to feature in the magazine; and

• Your name, title, business name and the city/state of your shop.

Each year we honor your favorite companies with a TechShop Top 5 Tools Award. This award, unlike any other equipment and tool award, is determined solely by you, the technician or shop owner. Award winners are announced in the October issue of TechShop; each winning company is presented a unique Top 5 Tools plaque.
