"We’re in a global environment and by offering this free app we’re hoping to fill a specific need for drag racers, fans, and everyone that just wants to have some fun," five-time world champion drag racer Jeg Coughlin Jr. said. "This is a great introduction to drag racing, and at the same time it’s perfect for hardcore racers that like to stay sharp at the tree. I certainly spend a lot of time on my practice trees and now I’ll have one with me wherever I go right there in the palm of my hand."

Like a regular practice tree, the JEGS Perfect Start iPhone application can be dialed in for each user’s specific needs, from a Pro Start to a full Sportsman Tree.

"We’ve been testing it extensively and I really think people are going to enjoy using this thing, whether to tune themselves up before the big race, or passing it around at a party to see who can cut the best light," Coughlin said.
