Federated celebrated an exciting day at the races during the 15th annual “Federated Auto Parts 300” NASCAR Nationwide Series race held June 5 in Nashville, TN, at the Nashville Superspeedway. Two of Federated’s award-winning supplier partners helped to get this milestone race off to a thrilling start.

Billy Scott of the Martin/Scott Sales Agency served as grand marshal of the Federated 300 and gave the “start your engines” command to the field.  Matt McGuire, vice president of program group sales for USA Industries, was the co-grand marshal and also presented the winner’s trophy at the conclusion of the race. Both men were introduced from the stage and had the opportunity to greet the drivers.

“It’s hard to believe we’ve reached such a milestone. It seems like yesterday that we sponsored the first Federated race in Nashville,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts.  “The Federated 300 is a special event for over 1,200 Federated customers each year and we are happy to have our award-winning suppliers participate in the activities surrounding the race.”

A near-capacity crowd saw Brad Keselowski cross the finish line first to capture the checkered flag. Fans also enjoyed a pre-race benefit concert featuring John Rich to benefit the flood relief efforts of Hands on Nashville, and a nationwide audience tuned in the broadcast of the Federated 300 on ESPN2.
