Makita Accelerates, Launches ‘Feel Innovation’ Initiative

La Mirada, CA — Makita Industrial Power Tools has launched the “Feel Innovation Promotion 2009,” a new national promotion offering select free tools and MSR Rockstar Makita motorcycle riding gear with purchase of qualified items. The new national initiative is part of Makita’s ongoing effort to engage professional tradesmen and serious tool users with innovative products, high-energy sponsorship initiatives and creative marketing programs.

“Makita is pushing hard and moving forward,” said Brent Withey, Makita’s senior brand manager.

Makita’s “Feel Innovation Promotion 2009” offers a free product-with-purchase from its LXT Cordless Series featuring 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery technology. The LXT Series offers 35 cordless power tools, and select models are free via mail-in redemption with a purchase of select drill-drivers and impact drivers, as well as select two-, four- and seven-piece combo kits.

Makita is also offering authentic MSR Rockstar Makita motorcycle riding gear with purchase of select Makita tools, including select AVT rotary and demo hammers, as well as nine- and 12-piece LXT Combo Kits. The MSR Rockstar Makita motorcycle riding gear package includes a helmet, jersey, pants and gloves.

“We wanted to offer value to our customers who step up and purchase a larger LXT Combo Kit,” said Withey. “Malcolm Smith is a motocross racing legend, and MSR Riding Gear is a top brand for serious riders.”

The Feel Innovation Sweepstakes includes a grand prize of Suzuki RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 motorcycles, a Suzuki QuadSport Z400 and a Suzuki KingQuad 750AXi. Other prizes include a Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 15-Piece Cordless Combo Kit, a Rockstar Mini-Fridge with five cases of Rockstar and a Kicker iPod Speaker Dock iK500.
