WIX Filters will support the Future Farmers of America (FFA) for the 22nd consecutive year in 2009 by donating 25 cents for every box top redeemed by an FFA chapter between January and April. In 2008, WIX Filters donated more than $40,000 to local FFA chapters throughout the United States as part of the program, and the company has donated more than $500,000 since 2000.

“We are happy to have the ability to support local FFA chapters through the WIX Filters/FFA Box Top Promotion,” said Jeff Blocher, brand manager for WIX Filters, an innovator in filtration engineering and production for 70 years. “Our annual partnership with local FFA chapters through this program provides students with an increased opportunity to take advantage of educational programs and in some cases the chance to attend the National FFA Convention for the first time – it’s a privilege for us to be able to make a positive impact on these students’ lives.”

In addition to the 25 cents per WIX Filters box top redeemed, six bonus prizes of $1,000 will be added to the box top earnings for the following criteria: most overall box tops redeemed during the program period; highest percentage increase in box top redemption from 2008 to 2009; and the top four chapters based on number of box tops redeemed per member.

The WIX Filters/FFA Box Top Promotion is supported by brochures that provide program details for participating auto parts stores and FFA chapters, in-store posters to help distributors promote the program, and pre-written press releases FFA chapters can use in their local communities to publicize the promotion and generate additional filter purchases and chapter earnings.

The WIX Filters/FFA Box Top Promotion is one of 10 sales promotions from WIX planned for 2009. Customers can find the details of each promotion in the WIX Filters 2009 Sales and Promotion Planner, by logging on to WIXConnect.com or by contacting their distributor.
