Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high quality industrial power tools and accessories, has launched new Action web pages dedicated to the company’s accelerated presence in the world of live race events, action sports and soccer. The pages can be reached from the Makita website, or directly at www.makitatools.com/action. It is a one-stop hub of information on Makita’s sponsored teams in motorcycle racing, off-road racing, Major League Soccer, paintball and more.

The new Action web pages share the same branded look and interactive features of the makitatools.com website, which includes information on the company’s wide range of industrial quality power tools and accessories. The Action portion of the website is the latest effort in the company’s relentless drive to serve the pro tool user.

“Makita industrial quality power tools are engineered for professional tool users,” said Brent Withey, senior brand manager for Makita. “We know that pro tool users work hard, and we also know that racing and action sports are a big part of their lives off the jobsite. The new Action web pages let them follow all the action online with Makita’s sponsored teams in Supercross, Motocross, CORR and SCORE Off Road Racing, Major League Soccer and more.”

Makita’s Action web pages feature Team Pages dedicated to each Makita-sponsored team. Team Pages include streaming video, photos, schedules, news, results, team information and athlete profiles.

“We want to capture the passion and energy of these fast-paced events and highly-skilled athletes,” said Withey. “We designed each Team Page as a one-stop source of news, results and information, and we make it come alive with plenty of sound and video.”

Makita’s Accelerated Presence in Live Racing and Action Sports
Makita is already a fixture in Supercross and Motocross, and this year teamed up with Rockstar Energy Drink to form Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing. The Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing Team also extended its sponsorship into ATV and Superbike racing in 2008.

Makita’s newest sponsorship partners include Rockstar Makita Riviera Racing in the SCORE Desert Series, Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing in the CORR Series, and DragonFire Polaris Makita Racing in the side-by-side/UTV class of the CORR Series. Makita is also the Official Power Tool of the CORR Series. Makita recently partnered with the San Diego-based FX Racing Team in the KART Series.

In addition to live racing, Makita’s new Action web pages also include coverage of Major League Soccer and the Mexican National Soccer Team (FMF). Makita, the Official Power Tool Sponsor of the MLS (as well as the FMF during its eight-game tour of the U.S.) has made soccer a center point of its strategy to target the growing number of Hispanic contractors across the U.S.
